Why I built ProjEvo
Hi, I'm Derl McMeekin — the founder and sole creator of ProjEvo, and a solo agency owner here in Orlando, Florida.
Like a lot of you, I spent years running my business on a stack of tools that never quite fit. One app for projects, another for invoicing, a separate help desk, a proposal tool, a hosting panel, a WordPress manager, a chat app — each with its own login, its own bill, and its own way of breaking the moment a client clicked through. I got tired of paying for a dozen subscriptions that didn't talk to each other, and tired of an experience that felt stitched together instead of like the studio I was trying to present.
So I took the best of everything I'd used, threw out the parts that got in the way, and built the platform I actually wanted to run my own agency on. That became ProjEvo — one branded place where the whole client relationship lives, from the first proposal to the last invoice.
I'm building this for people like me: agencies, freelancers and solopreneurs who'd rather do the work than babysit their tools. I'm always open to feedback, and I read and reply to everyone I can.
